Can Autoimmune Diseases Be Cured

All of us have heard miracle stories of people going towards remission or even disease reversal with autoimmune conditions. Lifestyle, nutritional and environmental factors play such a big role in the disease prognosis, so it is but obvious that making changes to the same can have a huge impact in your symptoms.

There is however no one- answer- fit’s- all when it comes to a cure. It will depend on how long have you had a condition for, what are your underlying symptoms and what kind of an attitude you portray while looking at your disease.

Some autoimmune diseases such as IBD, arthritis etc are easily reversible, while others like Type 1 diabetes, lupus and hashimoto’s are manageable to a point of minimal to no symptoms present.

Drugs can control the overactive immune response, reduce inflammation and pain too. Drugs used to treat these conditions are:

  • Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs , like ibuprofen and naproxen
  • Immune-suppressing drugs
  • Treatments are also available to relieve symptoms like pain, fatigue, swelling, and skin rashes.

Drugs do come with side effects, thus, it is highly suggested to make sustainable nutritional and lifestyle changes to first manage your condition.

How To Make Breakfast Sausage Chicken Poppers

  • Take the raw sweet potato and squeeze it with a paper towel or cheesecloth to remove any excess liquid.
  • Using a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Roll the poppers. Begin rolling the mixture into small poppers about one inch in diameter and slightly flatten each of them with the palm of your hand. Place them on the baking sheet
  • Bake in the oven for 25-28 minutes, flipping halfway through. If desired, crisp further in a pan or place under the broiler if desired for 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven when thoroughly cooked through and the internal temperature reads 165 F.
  • Allow to cool and serve immediately, or store in the fridge or freezer as a make-ahead breakfast!

AIP (Autoimmune Paleo) Diet: A Beginner
  • Grains: Rice, rye, quinoa, corn, oats, wheat, barley, and any other food or drink derived from grains.
  • Legumes: Black beans, pinto beans, lima beans, peanuts, soy, cocoa, lentils, and any other bean or legume.
  • Nuts and seeds: Almonds, chia, cashews, pecans, pistachios, and any other seed oil or product.
  • Select spices: Allspice, anise, pepper, poppy seeds, celery seed, cumin, caraway, mustard, nutmeg, and fennel seed.
  • Dairy and eggs: Milk, eggs, yogurt, cheese, cream, butter, and anything else made of dairy.
  • Nightshades: Bell peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, potatoes, cherries, red spices, goji berries, and tomatillos.
  • Processed/industrial foods: Additives and preservatives all contribute to an unhealthy gut lining, so anything that is store-frozen or packaged needs to go.
  • Sugars: molasses, brown sugar, regular sugar, and any foods containing sugar.
  • Alcohol: Beer, liquor, wine, and anything else containing alcohol .

Fasting followed by a plant-based diet is thought to be the most effective treatment for illness prevention.

Regarding data demonstrating the significant influence of fasting on chronic illness, researchers devised the fasting-mimicking diet, a periodic, short-term nutritional intervention.

Needless to say, only fast under medical supervision.

Aip Baked Cauliflower And Turmeric

Ingredients For AIP Baked Cauliflower And Turmeric

1 1/2 cups chopped coarsely red cabbage, approximately 1/3 head1 head cauliflower 4 cups1/4 cup jicama finely diced1/2 cup fresh cilantro3 stalks of celery diced3 teaspoons powdered turmeric3 grinds of fresh pepper2 tbsp of water

Procedure For AIP Baked Cauliflower And Turmeric:

  • One can substitute 2 tbsp avocado oils for olive oil
  • Preheat oven to 450°
  • In a baking dish, place red cabbage in an even layer.
  • Mix celery, jicama, and cilantro with 1 tbsp avocado oil, one pinch of salt, three dashes pepper, and three dashes turmeric. Layer the mixture over the cabbage.
  • Mix 1 tbsp avocado oils, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, and 2 tbsps of water in a bowl. Add 2 tsp turmeric to the bowl. Season with a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  • Chop cauliflower finely and then add it to the bowl with the turmeric mixture. Mix the turmeric goodness into the cauliflower and stir until it is well coated.
  • Layer turmeric cauliflower over celery mix in a pan.
  • Bake at 450 degrees for 45 minutes
  • Serve and enjoy
